Puneet Batra

Prof. (Dr.) Puneet Batra BDS, MDS (AIIMS), MOrth RCS (Edinburgh), FFD Orth RCS(Ireland), FDS RCPS (Glasgow), FDS RCS (Edinburgh), DNB, DIBO, PGDHM, PGDMLS, PGCOI, MNAMS, Fellow FPFA, FWFO, FACDE, FICOI, FICD.
Prof. (Dr.) Puneet Batra serves as the Pro-Vice Chancellor (Health Sciences) at Manav Rachna International Institute of Research and Studies, Delhi NCR. He is also the Dean of the School of Dental Sciences and the School of Allied Health Sciences at the same institution. Additionally, he holds the position of Professor and Head in the Department of Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopaedics at Manav Rachna Dental College. He is an MDS in Orthodontics from the prestigious AIIMS New Delhi. He is presently the ‘Immediate Past President’ of the prestigious Indian Orthodontic Society. He also has been the Editor of the Journal of Indian Orthodontic Society (2018-23). He is the recipient of prestigious Commonwealth Scholarship at Great Ormond Street Hospital for Sick Children (London) and TC White Scholarship at Dundee Dental School (Scotland).
He has been awarded K G Kannapan Award for Best Thesis by Indian Orthodontic Society, in 2000, P P Jacob Award for best scientific paper in JIOS, in 2003, Prof. JG Kannappan Award for best paper, Indian Society of Dental Research, 2024 and Lee W. Graber “Orthodontics Changing Lives” Award, World Federation of Orthodontists, 2024.
He is the Cleft Orthodontist at Global Hospital and Research Centre Mt Abu Rajasthan and Sant Parmanand Hospital, New Delhi. He is the Past President of the Indian Society of Cleft Lip and Palate and Craniofacial Anomalies 2019–20. He has been nominated to the Dental Council of India by the Government of India in July 2019.
He is an MOrth from Royal College of Surgeons in Edinburgh and an FFD Orth from Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland. He is a Diplomate of Indian Board of Orthodontics (DIBO), DNB in Orthodontics and has done PG Diploma in Hospital Management, PG Diploma in Medico Legal Systems, PG certificate in Oral Implantology, currently serving as an International Advisor and executive member for Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Glasgow.
He is also a member of Smile Train India Advisory Council as well as STRIAC Smile Train Research Innovation Advisory Council.
